Rockland subsidiary to acquire 225MW gas fired plant from Sunoco

EBR Staff Writer Published 07 February 2012

A subsidiary of Rockland Capital (Rockland) has unveiled plans to acquire the 225MW Eagle Point natural gas-fired power facility located in New Jersey, US for an undisclosed sum.

The plant will be acquired from Sunoco.

The facility acts as a cogeneration facility providing steam to the adjacent Eagle Point refinery.

The plant started operations in 1991 in a combined cycle mode, and currently sells capacity and energy into the PJM market, a regional transmission organization.

Eagle Point is an investment of Rockland Power Partners, the private equity fund currently being invested by Rockland.
