NTPC Limited (NTPC) has awarded AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG (AUMA) a contract to deliver over 2,000 actuators to NTPC’s coal fired power plant at Sipat located in Chattisgarh, India. AUMA has provided the SA 48.1 actuator with 32,000 Nm output torque. AUMA’s Indian division has received the required authorizations to assemble the necessary scale of actuation at their Indian production plant. This assures the provision of domestic product features created according to the Indian market needs.
This application shows AUMA's capability to back both the different valve kinds erected in power stations, including ball/butterfly, gate and torque needs that vary from small, low pressure valves to big, high pressure valves. AUMA supplied products that feature integral controls and have the same interface to transmit feedback signals and communicate commands.
NTPC's 4,300-acre thermal power station currently in development in Sipat will run on super-critical boilers that burn less amount of fuel compared to traditional boilers to generate the same quantity of electricity.
