Huaneng Power Gets Approval For First Unit Of Yueyang Power Plant Phase III Project

Huaneng Power International has said that one 600MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating unit of Phase III project at Yueyang power plant has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China.
The Phase III project at Huaneng Yueyang power plant will install high-performance electrostatic precipitators, flue-gas desulphurisation and denitrification facilities, as well as a continuous emission monitoring system.
The total investment amount of the project is estimated to be approximately RMB2.536 billion, of which 20% is equity capital to be funded by the company and Hunan Xiang Tou International Investment based on capital contribution ratios of 55% and 45%, respectively. The remaining investment will be funded by bank loans.
Huaneng Power International owns 18 operating power plants, and has controlling interests in 16 operating power plants and minority interests in five operating power companies within China. Such power plants are located in 12 provinces and four provincial-level municipalities in China.
